About Guruji
Yogi Prakash Shankar Vyas
Yogi Prakash Shankar Vyas (Guruji) is of the same lineage as Sri Paramahansa Yogananda (author of Autobiography of a Yogi). He was initiated and authorised to pass on the science of Kriya Yoga by Sri Satya Charan Lahiri (the grandson of Mahayogi Lahiri Mahasaya). The path of Kriya Yoga requires enormous discipline and commitment and is not a practice to be undertaken lightly. A Householder Yogi
Guruji is a 'Householder Yogi' and therefore has no ashram, organisation or headquarters. Guruji and his family emigrated in December 2007 from Varanasi, India, to Melbourne, Australia. The move will make it easier for Guruji to travel abroad in the future, and he expects to make regular return trips to India.
Since Guruji's time is limited and he wishes to be sure that those coming to him are genuinely and sincerely interested in Kriya Yoga, Heidi Wyder has written a new e-Book in three parts on Guruji's behalf for those who would like to apply for Kriya Yoga initiation. Proceeds from the e-Book will go towards the administration costs of Guruji's new 'office'. It may be ordered on this website .

If you would like to apply for Kriya Yoga initiation from Guruji, there are two steps you need to take:1) Read Footsteps to Freedom /Kriya Yoga. If, having done so, you would still like to apply for initiation,
2) Order the e-Booklet.
Yoga Classes with Guruji in Australia
Due to the move, Guruji will not be taking any classes or appointments until around March 2008. Regular Hatha Yoga classes are of one-hour duration and are taught on a small-group basis. We will be able to supply more information about classes with Guruji from end February 2008: please contact us and mention that you are interested in the schedule for Guruji's yoga classes on the form.
